Patient Coordinator
Meet Alannah, the vibrant heart of Empress Orthodontics. With a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration from Sheridan College, Alannah's journey with us began unexpectedly - initially as a patient. Impressed by her warmth and enthusiasm, we invited her to join us as Patient Coordinator.
In her role as Patient Coordinator, she manages appointments and ensures a seamless patient experience. Alannah's creativity extends to media interactions and embracing innovative technology. Outside work, she enjoys family time, indulges her passion for tattoos and dives into her comedy collections. With her magnetic personality and dedication to excellence, Alannah embodies exceptional patient care at Empress Orthodontics.
Christine W.
Office Administrator/Treatment Coordinator
Meet Christine, she handles the administrative and financial needs of the office. As a treatment coordinator she assists patients with their treatment inquiries and financial arrangements.
With a Dental Assisting certification earned in 1994, she's been an integral part of our team since 2005. Christine finds joy in witnessing patients' transformations under Dr. Shadmand's care, as they achieve beautiful healthy smiles.
Married with a daughter, Christine values family time. Outside of work, she finds relaxation in reading, indulging in movies, and cherishing moments with loved ones and friends.
Vanessa C.
Dental Assistant Level II
Meet Vanessa, a vibrant cosmetic dental assistant with over 21 years of experience. For the past six years, she has specialized in orthodontics, bringing her expertise as a Level II orthodontic assistant to Empress Orthodontics. Vanessa finds fulfillment in witnessing smile transformations and cherishes the supportive environment at Empress Orthodontics. Beyond work, Vanessa enjoys socasize fitness classes, cooking, and planning her next travel adventure. Family holds a special place in her heart, and she looks forward to meeting each new smile that walks through the doors of Empress Orthodontics.
Niomi S.
Dental Assistant Level II
Meet Niomi, a dedicated Level II Orthodontic Dental Assistant proud to be a part of the Empress Ortho team. Graduating with high honors from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries in 2018, Niomi transitioned from general dentistry to orthodontics four years ago, finding immense joy in witnessing smile transformations. Outside of work, she explores culinary creativity, travels to new destinations, and cherishes quality time with loved ones.

Dental Assistant/Clinic Coordinator
Michelle graduated from Georgian College in 1998 as a Level II Dental Assistant. She joined Empress Orthodontics in 2003.
Michelle is married and has a son who keeps her very busy! In her spare time, she enjoys camping, boating, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Natasha Y.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet Natasha, she graduated with honors from George Brown College in 2004 and has since accumulated 20 years of experience in orthodontics. Joining Empress Orthodontics in 2019, she brings her wealth of expertise to the team.
During her leisure time, Natasha relishes spending quality moments with her two wonderful boys, indulging in reading, taking leisurely walks, and watching movies.
Michelle M.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet Michelle, graduated with an honors diploma in Dental Hygiene from Georgian College. She has more than 15 years of experience in orthodontics and is an active member of the Ontario Dental Hygiene Orthodontic Study Club. She is continually participating in continuing education so that she is able to offer the best, most up-to-date treatment for her patients.
Outside of work, Michelle is a busy hockey mom to her gorgeous son. She likes to relax with hot yoga and enjoys running and travelling with her husband and son.
